In Contrast, click on +Advanced settings+ under Fine Contrast. I'm not seeing this in PL 6 with the Filmpack enabled. The latter is arguably the most useful addition, especially the ability to adjust microcontrast selectively in the highlights, midtones, and shadows. But honestly, I think it's a waste of money for me, because I end up using Silver FX from NIK plugin more.

I bought it on this year's sale, primarily for black/white film simulation. You may ask this question on the dedicated Post-processing & Printing forum. Understandably, deciding if this addition is worth the money is personal.

If the money is not an issue, and if you use the main application PhotoLab for PP, then Film Pack adds some useful functionality not a lot but useful nonetheless. In Color Positive Films, I find Fuji Velvia 50 producing impressive results in some cases. There might be some of interest to black and white photographers. I have used some of the frames from Film Pack, however, many of those available don't look too useful to me, and only about 5-6 frames are nice, and the number could be larger. I believe Channel Mixer is intended for black and white photography, however it can also be useful for desaturating one or more of the colors in a color photo. The Filter is a useful tool for adding one of a good selection of tones (e.g., cool, warm, or certain colors like dark orange, etc). in the hair and eyes) makes them more expressive. In some portraits, increasing the contrast in shadows (black, i.e. For example, reducing contrast in midtones can make the out-of-focus background softer. I added several tools from FP to my custom palette in PL: Frame, Filter, Channel Mixer, and the expanded Contrast controls. I have been using DxO Film Pack 6 for about a year, integrated in DxO PhotoLab (now on version 6). If you use PL and/or like film emulations I'd say it's worth the holiday price. I don't do a lot of film emulations but maybe that will change. I do like the features it adds to Photolab which can save me trips to other apps. I just bought it so still forming an opinion.

I’m thinking about purchasing it while it is on sale. If you are using DxO film pack I would love to hear your opinions on it.
